Well-being & Site Context
Well-being to us means having to interact in a peaceful environment, with greenery to provide enhancement and natural surroundings. It also means being age-friendly, catering to all socio-economic groups and promoting both physical and mental health. With Gurgaon as the context city, the idea is to blend the intervention, yet, have it stand out and not just visually impact the user but have a program and function.
The site provides both opportunities and repairs. It is a peaceful area with less motorized traffic and mainly used only by the users of the immediate surroundings. Yet, the area seems dead in terms of activities throughout the day. Many plots in this site are left unused and are slowly getting converted to dumping grounds. A transition in terms of density and morphology is seen through the context and the site.

Vision.
The vision is to create a lively zone as the context supports an interactive area with good connectivity through the site. The main idea is to connect four major nodes – The Westin hotel, Commercial buildings near the selected site, Sector 29 eateries area, and the IFFCO Chowk Metro Station; with the proposed intervention as a passer-by area. The site would be entirely pedestrian-friendly, with hotspots happening along with it on various levels. Each hotspot caters to a different function and can be explored thoroughly as per the user's choice. Three types of zones are being created due to the major hotspots: Healing centre, Relaxing Zone and Entertainment Zone. This creates an interest and makes the site more explorable. The intervention also caters to the needs of various vehicles parked on the site through cab spots.

Design Idea.
To attract more users towards the site, the four nodes selected would be connected through sky-bridges/cable to the relaxing zone of the intervention. The 10 acres selected is on Huda Ground. This place is used mostly when concerts or other such events take place.
To demarcate the intervention, a road is to be introduced which divides these areas. Heavy greenery along the roads would control the noise levels. Vehicular access inside the site is reduced by using the road made as a service road and by providing a bridge near the parking lot which gives direct pedestrian entry into the site.
Aim from Well-being POV.
Apart from making the site livelier and more active, the aim is also to connect the three of the nodes to the metro station, giving the users a shorter and interesting route to reach the destination. This would also bring in more users for the proposed site, should they choose to stop at the intervention on the way. If not, it still gives them a faster and vehicle-free route to reach the station.
Interesting Zones.
The program would create interesting zones throughout the site. The idea is to keep the user occupied with interest throughout. The intervention proposed would be more of a non-gated area. Tensile structures can be integrated to create temporary doors and other such gated areas. This is done with all the weather conditions of Gurgaon kept in mind. Street art on the elevations would lift the look of the intervention and attract more users.
